About the Practice & Hospital
Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457 bed tertiary care hospital and the second largest in the Greater Charlotte market, serving a rapidly growing and diverse patient population. The hospital is part of Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, one of the largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular programs in the Southeast, and is anchored by a state of the art Heart & Vascular Tower designed for integrated, patient centered care.
The cardiovascular program offers a full spectrum of services including advanced non-invasive and structural imaging, structural and interventional cardiology, comprehensive electrophysiology services, and advanced heart failure care. Physicians practice in a highly collaborative, team-based environment alongside 17 cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team that includes more than 18 cardiology-focused advanced practice providers and several cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons.
Position Overview
Full-time, 1.0 FTE clinical opportunity
High volume coronary only work with complex coronary interventions (MCS/shock included)
Average week includes approximately 3 days cath lab and 2 clinic days
3 cath labs (Philips)
1:5 STEMI call (one hospital)
Summer 2027 start
Practice scope does not include structural heart, peripheral vascular interventions, or PE
Candidate Qualifications
BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease
BE/BC in Interventional Cardiology
